Please make Ubuntu XPS Notebook cheaper than XPS Vista Notebook Linux, Operating Systems, XPS products submitted by dki May 26
Hi, New Product Ideas, XPS products, Laptops submitted by pwl2706 Jul 18 As almost all your competition now have Centrino 2 laptops launched, it is time for DELL to refresh the XPS Laptop line so I can buy a 13 inch XPS laptop with Centrino 2. 24 Comments » Non-Glare High Resolution LED Displays Monitors and Displays, XPS products, Vostro products submitted by anonym Jul 18
Please stop the glossy display nonsence and provide a non-glare display options for all models. If possible with LED backlight, because it is brighter, thinner and less power consuming. I like the XPS M1330 very much, but the glossy display is a real show stopper... GeForce 9M series of laptop GPUs on Dell XPS laptop XPS products, Laptop Power submitted by helmecj01 Jun 3

When you refresh the XPS range, you should include 64bit OS as standard or as optional. Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), XPS products submitted by aliii Jul 30
With Nvidia 9 graphic cards, Centrino 2 Processors and illuminated keyboards. Service and Support, Software, XPS products submitted by qwik Aug 9 In the XPS 730 you ship an EVA 790 motherboard but you can't install EVGA BIOS updates. You have to wait for Dell to qualify a BIOS then we can install it. For XPS gamers, we need those BIOS updates faster. It takes you months to get a BIOS out and by the time it comes out EVGA is a few iterations in front of you. The BIOS updates help stablize overclocking, etc. Release these faster. Comment » 1680x1050 LED Backlit screens for XPS 1530 Monitors and Displays, XPS products submitted by middlep1 Jul 30 Isn't about time Dell started to filter more LED backlit screens into the mainstream, I've grown accustomed to using 1680x1050 15.4" laptop screens over of having 2 Dell and 1 Asus laptops with that resolution, 1920X1200 on a 15.4" is just silly, 1680X1050 is just perfect for my web design and development usage, and LED backlights would be perfect as well, I'd even go as far as paying a extra (modest) premium for the privilage. Comment » Give us more Vista 64-bit options! Operating Systems, XPS products submitted by qwik Aug 9 Come on, 4GB is a standard now and we need Vista 64-bit on all XPS desktops. Honestly, you should have them on every computer you make now. Yes, compatibilty is still a concern but I'm a hardcore gamer and everything works perfectly. Retailers are starting to stock 64-bit in a major way. Dell.com is behind and should catch up. 1 Comment » Put the XPS M1530 with Ubuntu back on the Dell website Dell Web Site, Linux, XPS products submitted by jervis961 Aug 10 **IMPLEMENTED**
On Thursday Dell announced that it would be offering the XPS M1530 with Ubuntu installed. Dell needs to start preinstall Windows Vista 64-bit SP1 on the XPS 420 XPS 730 XPS 1730 XPS products submitted by helmecj01 Aug 5
Dell needs to start preinstall Windows Vista 64-bit SP1 on the 64 Bit Vista and more than 4 GB RAM Desktops, XPS products submitted by dellrox Jul 24
HP has the option for 64 bit Vista and 32 bit Vista, why not Dell? Also, put the option in to XPS 620 desktops for more than 4GB RAM. You do this for Dell Precision Workstations, why not Home Gaming Desktops. Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), XPS products submitted by enibas Jul 31
For the XPS M1530, we can't chose a graphic card other than 8600 mGT. I think it could me good, given that this card as a default of made, we have the choice to take a 8700 mGT or 8800 mGT. Give XPS Notebooks Gigabit Ethernet XPS products submitted by croftki Feb 17 I understand that Dell market research says home users in general are not interested in gigabit ethernet for home networks. Those who pay for the premium design in the XPS line, however, are more likely to want gigabit ethernet. I would rather buy something more exciting than a business class notebook, but I want to build on my home technology with each purchase I make. XPS Notebooks unfortunately do not help me do this. It seems my only option is to buy a Latitude. 28 Comments » Please answer the complaints you receive! Service and Support, XPS products submitted by lola9 Aug 12
As a consumer it seems dell spends a lot of time talking about how valuable their customers are but little or no time actually doing it. I have had several issues with dells customer service and with the xps product i have and my complaints are simply not being answered. I know of several people who have had their complaints ignored. I personally will now be going through the small claims court in Ireland and the national consumer agency to get my legal entitlements of statutory rights that dell have denied me, something i would not have had to do if dell had bothered reading and replying to my complaint. Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), XPS products submitted by phooku Jul 29 I am really impressed by my new XPS 630. But the wide open grill in the front, while great for cooling, does little to prevent hair, dust and lint from clogging the internal heat sinks. I wish Dell would sell a removable dust filter for both new and old XPS desktops. 2 Comments » Make larger 7200 rpm HDD available on XPS/Studio Line in UK/EU XPS products submitted by pwl2706 2:17am
On the US site it is possible to configure an XPS M1330 with a 320 GB 7200 rpm HDD or an SSD of 128GB ... Change the XPS M1330 screen bezel Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), XPS products submitted by jeopardy Jul 30
One of the problems anyone who's owned an XPS M1330 for any length of time knows is that the edge of the trackpad rubs on the plastic bezel above the screen, eventually producing a shiny, un-removable mark. Some people have also reported the keyboard makes contact with the actual screen itself and leaves the outline of the keys on the screen. Aspects of XPS 1530 that make it uncomfortable to use Matte (NOT TrueLife) Display on XPS m1330 Monitors and Displays, XPS products submitted by mw 06/27/07 **UNDER REVIEW**
The XPS m1330 seems to be the perfect machine, aside from a few imperfections (no Gigabit Ethernet, for example). However, there is one feature that is an absolute dealbreaker for me--the glossy TrueLife screen. I remember the day before the shiny screens, and what a beautiful day that was. |
